Harbor of men: Meer dan een gewone hoedenwinkel.
If you think of a hat shop today, you probably imagine a business run for generations as a family affair. Unfortunately, that’s not quite our story — ours started rather modestly. The shop came about through chance, luck, and a love for the product.
Hoe het begon.
Starting out young at the market, I wanted to change what people associated with it: “At the market you’ll only find cheap junk.” My plan was to offer certain products each season that suited that particular time of year. In summer it was tank tops, T-shirts, baseball caps, and so on… in a nice light material. In winter you’d find me again with beautiful, warm scarves, beanies, gloves, and more…

One day, one of my suppliers had some nice flat cap models in his collection (not something he usually offered). I had always liked that retro, vintage style myself and still think it looks classy. Not sure if other people would like it as much, I decided to give it a try anyway.
If I didn’t sell them, I’d suddenly have a nice personal collection for myself — that was the idea behind it, anyway.
To my surprise, I sold everything, and over time became known as the guy with the hats and caps at the market.
En nu.
Years later, I’ve been able to grow from that small, modest start at the market into my own shop in the heart of Antwerp. The store focuses on authentic collections for men.
You’ll find brands that are an established name in the industry, such as Stetson, Borsalino, City Sport, Derby Sport, Mayser, Alfonso D’Este, and more…
We also offer a small clothing collection from microbrands such as Bellin, who make clothing from Belgian linen, and Gozer, who focus on gilets and waistcoats.
