The Classic Bedale is the heart of our Classic collection and a firm favourite. Made from Barbour’s proven 6oz Sylkoil cotton, this jacket began life as working kit for riders and quickly became a classic in town as much as in the country.

The hard-wearing mid-weight waxed outer gives excellent protection against the elements without giving up comfort. The sturdy two-way zip and the sturdy press studs keep wind and rain out, while the moleskin-lined handwarmer pockets and generous flap pockets keep you warm on cold days.

The distinctive corduroy collar gives the jacket a considered line, and can also be turned up when the weather changes. That gives extra protection and a soft, comfortable feel. The 100% cotton lining in the authentic Original Classic Tartan print is a discreet but telling nod to Barbour’s history. The Classic Bedale was also designed with versatility in mind: it pairs well with our zip-in liners and hoods.
