The Ivy flat cap is one of the slimmest shapes in our collection. If you prefer not to wear a wide-brimmed cap, this is the shape for you. This version is made from Donegal tweed, a classic fabric made mainly from virgin wool. It has a striking check pattern on a soft cream-coloured base, with a clearly visible twill weave that gives the fabric texture.

This fabric comes from County Donegal in Ireland, where the rugged climate called for warm, sturdy clothing. Donegal tweed is traditionally known for its sturdy look and earthy colours inspired by the Irish landscape. The soft, cream-coloured tones of this cap are therefore atypical for Donegal tweed and give it a more refined look.

The check is finely finished in warm tones that pair beautifully with the soft base. This makes it a cap with character that’s still easy to combine. A warm, natural fabric that’s perfect to wear through autumn and winter.

This cap comes from the workshop of City Sport, a Belgian atelier that still produces in Belgium today. At Harbor of Men, we choose the fabric, colour and shape ourselves. So you don’t get a standard, mass-produced cap, but one we’ve deliberately had made for our collection.
